Names of personal shoppers

I am going to call and place an order at the American girl places to get some of the instore items but need the name of a good personal shopper. I was thinking of getting on their email list. So what is the name of a good personal shopper in Chicago?

I was also going to call LA and NY to get some of their exclusive items. So if you know of a good personal shopper there too that would be great.

The personal shoppers are for those who actually visit the store and then perhaps call from home other times. They do NOT appreciate their names and phone numbers getting passed around. That happened one other time on this board and it caused a mess. The personal shoppers say they are not a mail order business and have way too much work already and don't like answering mail-order phone calls.

That's what a personal shopper told me once when I gave her a "cold call" based on a number that showed up on this board a couple years ago. I felt bad for her because she said her phone was ringing off the hook and she couldn't even tend to the customers in the store.

Maybe someone who lives near a store could pick up the items you want.

I called the LA store and the Chicago store and each time I just asked for a personal shopper. My name was taken and my calls were returned. Both Personal Shoppers were extremely pleasant and took the time to check with other Personal Shoppers when they didn't have an answer to my questions. Both happily left to gather my order called me back to double check it when they were done. Both told me that they were very pleased to have my business and hoped I would call again soon. Both of them asked me if I wanted to be added to their mailing lists so that I could learn about new products and both told me that they would be more than happy to take the time to pick out just the right doll for me. Most of these things were not things I asked about, just things they offered to do. I can't imagine why your personal shopper would get upset about phone calls. They have voice mail and they can call people back during slow times at the store. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

My personal shopper would not mind helping you at all. PM me, and I'll give you her contact information.
Or, you can call the Place number, and there's a selection for personal shoppers. The operator can also put you though to their department.

Mary Carly, your experience sure was different than mine. Maybe AGP has more personal shoppers now than when I had called so they can handle volume calls more? Still, I'm hesitant to call one. I'm certain that they don't want their phone numbers listed on the board though. When that happens, their phone numbers get passed from list to list and they get calls from dozens of people not even on our board. That's what the ps told me a while ago.
